Evaluating Own Qualities
Strengths:
- Good skills on Premiere Pro
- Edited and Filmed a few films already that I can show
- Do a lot of photography that could help with the filming side of things.
Weaknesses:
- Don’t know much people in the video industry but do in the photography industry.
Threats:
- Competition
- Location
- Changes in technology
I am going to use the resources to get into the editing and filmmaking industry by gaining contacts in the industry and actually showing the off the work I have already produced and made, so I need to create my own films where I use my camera skills and my editing skills. Most of the work in the filmmaking industry work in London and not many other cities have any sort of jobs going there and this means a long commute and travel. Agency jobs are a lot harder because you don’t know if you are going to get a job for certain whereas if you try and get a direct job you will be speaking to your employer and gaining feedback from them. I would have to be sufficient in Premiere Pro and probably After Effects to so I can produce edits of the highest quality.

Experience and interests.
- I am interested in photography and sports outside of the media industry.
My strengths that would help me in the media industry are things like the fact that I have proficient skills in photography because I do it as hobby outside of college and the course I do. I often meet up with fellow photographers and take photos around London and other locations in Britain, I have gained tips and tricks off them. Which will help me gain skills in cinematography. I have also made short films with my friends which is where I developed my editing skills and other filming skills too.
Evaluation:
The job I am aiming for is a cameraman job because this is what I want to pursue as a career because I have a big interest in this and it is creative and allows for travel which really appeals to me. Although it is a long way off I would like to qualify for this type of job with the BBC or ITV and they offer some sort of apprenticeship programs so this would be the best option for me.
